Joshua Elmore

Background

After graduating from Frostburg State University with a bachelors degree in biology, Josh joined the DDRU in 2014 as a summer student and transitioned to a post-baccalaureate student that fall. Josh’s previous work in the DDRU has been broad, and consists of research on the pharmacokinetics of cathinone stimulants, the behavioral and neurobiological effects of repeated synthetic cannabinoid dosing, and brain tissue neurotransmitter analysis via HPLC-ECD. Current research includes assessment of the acute effects of synthetic hallucinogens. After leaving the DDRU, Josh hopes to attain graduate education in neuroscience, with the ultimate goal of being a research scientist.
