Research Interests
At the TAC, Lindsay supports the NIDA IRP both administratively and in the laboratory. She develops LC-MS and GC-MS methods for the quantification of a variety of drugs and endogenous biomarkers in various matrices. In addition to sample analysis, Lindsaysupports pre-clinical and clinical researchers in the planning of experiments and clinical research protocols by collaborating with staff on standard operating procedures for sample collection, treatment, and storage. She also conducts trainings such as general laboratory safety, immunoassay techniques, and pipetting workshops. As a native Buffalonian, she acts as Cold Storage Coordinator for the NIDA IRP, which involves coordinating freezer maintenance and serving as administrator for both the freezer monitoring and sample organization systems. Prior to joining the TAC, Lindsay spent 2.5 years developing LC-MS methods for the quantification of antiretroviral drugs in various biological matrices at the Clinical Pharmacology Analytical Laboratory at Johns Hopkins University. Before that, she spent 3 years developing enzymatic assays for use with silicon microfluidic chips in the Laboratory for Integrated NanoDiagnostics at Johns Hopkins University.
