Research Interests
Sanket completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Information Technology from Gujarat University, India in 2009 and later graduated with a M.S in Computer Science from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Combining his research interests in Wireless-sensor networks, Cloud computing and vehicular ad-hoc networking he defended his thesis focusing on creating an algorithm and developing a system to eliminate road traffic congestion, under the guidance of Dr. Mohammed Younis. A year after finishing his Masters he realized he couldn’t stay away from Computing research for too long, so enrolled in the PhD program at UMBC, which he is currently pursuing. Before joining the NRB, Sanket worked as a Software Developer for RTI International between 2010 and 2011, creating applications to collect and analyze research data. He shares his time between NIDA-NRB , NIAAA-LCTS and NIMH-CBDB, neuroimaging branches of the respective institutes.
Projects:
- Facilitate and act as an intermediary for combining and sharing of data between the respective neuroimaging branches of NIDA, NIAAA and NIMH.
- Developing and customizing applications to aid the goal of data sharing.
- Writing programs and applications to aid data analysis.
- Linux System Administration
- Fixing problems that people don’t know they have, in ways they don’t want to know.
- Helping others with programming if offered adequate edible incentives or sending links to helpful pages if no incentives offered.
