Katherine Savell, Ph.D.
Dr. Katherine Savell is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Behavioral Neuroscience Research Branch. Her research focuses on understanding how environmental cues associated with drug taking are encoded and maintained in the brain. She received her Ph.D. in Genetics, Genomics, and Bioinformatics with a focus in neuroscience from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
About This Talk
Dr. Savell will provide an overview of the many different professional paths in biomedical science and give students an idea of the educational and training requirements to enter each career. She will also teach students the value and process of conducting informational interviews, so they can become active participants in developing their career in science.
