Research Interests
Yi He joined NIDA IRP as a postdoctoral fellow first at the Neural Protection and Regeneration Section in 2012, and then at the Neuropsychopharmacology Section in 2013 and Addiction Biology Unit in 2016. In 2017, she moved to the Department of Neuroscience, University of Pittsburgh. Her major research at NIDA IRP focused on the roles of the brain glutamate signaling and cannabinoid receptors in the motivational behaviors related to reward/aversion employing optogenetic, pharmacological, histological approaches. In addition, she also participated in several dopamine- and cannabinoid-based medication development projects for the treatment of substance use disorders.
