Research Interests
Vivek Kumar received his Bachelor’s degeree in Pharmacy from M. D. University in Rohtak, India and his M. Tech. degree in Pharmacy from the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research in Mohali, India. He obtained his Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from Bundelkhand University in collaboration with the Dabur Research Foundation (DRF) in India. In 2010 he joined Dr. David M. Lemal in the Chemistry Department at Dartmouth College as a postdoctoral fellow. In 2012 he joined Dr. Amy H. Newman’s lab at the National Institute on Drug Abuse – Intramural Research Program, in Baltimore, as a visiting fellow. His research interests include the design and synthesis of novel and selective D2 receptor family ligands and SERT selective nanoprobes.
