Susan Sawyer, R.N.

Background

Ms. Susan Sawyer, RN is a Clinical Research Nurse in the Office of the Clinical Director, NIDA IRP. Ms. Sawyer possesses extensive professional experience and expertise in the care and management of patients with addiction, with over 20 years of service working in clinical research, emergency medicine, pre/post-surgical care, and community-based health care settings.  In addition to providing clinical care, Ms. Sawyer provides nursing support in protocol implementation, data collection and human subject protection including adherence and implementation to SOP’s, Clinical Care Policies and Point of Care testing, with a focus on patient safety, continuity of care and informed participation.
