Research Interests

Nakia Coursey, MS, LGPC is a Clinical Research Counselor in the Office of the Clinical Director, NIDA IRP. Nakia is a licensed counselor with over 15 years of experience providing services in various areas of mental health including substance use disorders research, individual and family counseling, at-risk youth and family services, and emergency mental health. Nakia currently serves as a counselor in the NIDA IRP OCD where she works with research participants to screen, assess, and evaluate mental health and substance use disorders. She also provides support to study teams as a point of contact for patients in her role as a Study Lead for various studies.
