Research Interests
Dr. Lisa Farinelli is the Deputy Chief of Management and Administration serving the TAMB Branch of the NIDA IRP. She assumes responsibility to supervise and facilitate the coordination and execution of TAMB research priorities among the PIs in the branch, under the leadership of the TAMB branch chief with advanced regulatory, administrative, and scientific expertise. With a PhD in Nursing, a Master of Business Administration, and advanced certifications as a Certified Clinical Research Professional and an Officer of Health Care Compliance, she supervises the ethical, safe, and compliant conduct of the TAMB clinical inpatient and outpatient proof-of-concept human laboratory studies. She is a representative on collaborations within the NIH as well as outside organizations including her service as a member of the NIH Intramural IRB, providing relevant trainings to clinical and research staff, and directing community engagement initiatives toward eliminating health disparities and promoting health equity. In addition to supporting TAMB trainees and staff in manuscript and presentation development, Dr. Farinelli will continue her independent research advancing our understanding on personalized medicine in addiction. Dr. Farinelli was presented with the 2016 NIH/NIAAA Operational Excellence Award.
