Lee received his Ph.D. in Pharmacology and Physiology from Georgetown University in 2014 under the mentorship of Dr. Italo Mocchetti. For his graduate studies he focused on the role of the chemokine CCL5 on opioid tolerance/dependence and HIV neurotoxicity. He joined the Harvey lab as a Postdoctoral Fellow in 2015 and is working on development new models to study HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders (HAND). These include an immortalized microglial cell line harboring integrated HIV provirus and a novel rat model.
