Laura Koekkoek

Background

Laura joined the Aponte lab as a visiting graduate student from the University of Amsterdam working on a project in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Susanne la Fleur from the Netherlands Institute for Neuroscience. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, she obtained her Master’s degree in Neurobiology at the University of Amsterdam. She joined the lab for a short period of time in 2018 to use in vivo two-photon endomicroscopy to study how genetically-identified cell types in the lateral hypothalamus respond to food intake.
