Justin Siemian, Ph.D.

Background

Justin joined the Aponte lab after receiving his Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University at Buffalo in 2017 and B.S. in Biochemistry from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2013. He is interested in understanding the neural circuits underlying chronic diseases such as drug abuse and chronic pain as well as those controlling natural behaviors important to survival such as feeding and reward processing. Justin was in the lab from 2018 – 2021.
