Research Interests
Jianjing Cao received her B. S. in Chemistry at Shanghai University of Science and Technology in 1990. She received her M. S in Computer Science at Southeastern University in 2000. She accepted her current position as research associate in the Medicinal Chemistry Section of NIDA in 1999. Her primary responsibilities in the lab are to synthesize novel compounds for biological evaluation and scale up the most potent candidates for in vivo testing. She also maintains the NMR and IR and regularly updates the database of compounds developed in the Newman lab.
