George Adamson

Research Interests

George joined Dr. Xi’s lab in June 2025. He received his B.A. in Psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience from Colgate University. During his undergraduate studies, he conducted research under Dr. Ewa Galaj where he investigated the neural circuitry underlying drug-taking and drug-seeking in rats. His thesis examined the neurocircuitry of heroin-driven behaviors, with a particular focus on the nigro-thalamic pathway. Currently, he is exploring the neural mechanisms underlying the antidepressant and rewarding actions of recently approved medications.
