Research Interests

Emil Alejandro is a Clinical Research Screening Specialist the Office of the Clinical Director, NIDA IRP.  Mr. Alejandro graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology in 2006.  Prior to working at the NIDA IRP, Mr. Alejandro worked as a Pharmacy Technician for 8 years.  Mr. Alejandro has extensive professional experience in screening patients for research studies, with over 15 years of service in clinical research.  In addition to screening patients, Mr. Alejandro provides support to study teams as a point of contact for patients in his role as a Study Lead for various studies.
