Research Interests

Dave Earley is a Clinical Research Screening Specialist in the Office of the Clinical Director, NIDA IRP. He is responsible for the screening, evaluation, and assessment of participants being considered for NIDA studies and serves a Study Lead for various studies. In his role as a Clinical Interviewer, Dave serves as the first point of contact for those inquiring about study participation at NIDA and provides support in the process of recruiting and screening participants for studies. This includes conducting phone and in-person assessments to determine whether individuals looking to enroll in NIDA’s clinical studies meet inclusion/exclusion criteria, explaining study requirements to participants, providing referrals for substance treatment in the community, and communicating with study investigators and other study staff to assist in the process of enrolling participants in studies.
