Research Interests
Elizabeth Tressler joined CPN in June 2022. She graduated from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Public Health. In her undergraduate career, she studied stress-induced relapse of drug seeking behavior in mouse models and further analyzed pertinent hormone receptors (i.e. oxytocin and cortisol) of the brain related to stress. Under the co-mentorship of Dr. Lorenzo Leggio and Dr. Leandro Vendruscolo (Dr. Koob’s Neurobiology of Addiction Section, NIDA Intramural Research Program), she will be conducting preclinical studies of novel treatments for substance use disorders.
