Background
Charlotte Harvey joined Dr. Lorenzo Leggio’s CPN laboratory in June of 2024. She is a rising sophomore undergraduate student at the University of Maryland College Park pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience. Previously at NIDA in 2022, she worked in Dr. Bruce Hope’s lab with Dr. Leslie Ramsey studying the role of prefrontal cortical neuronal ensembles in volitional social interaction using mouse models. Additionally, she participates in clinical volunteer work at Kennedy Krieger in the psychiatric department with Dr. Marco Grados. She looks to pursue a medical degree beyond undergraduate, specifically in child psychiatry. At the CPN lab, Charlotte is helping to analyze clinical data alongside Dr. Ryan Tyler and supports clinical laboratory studies that aim at finding new treatments for addictive disorders.
