Research Interests
Andi received her B.S. in Psychology and Neuroscience from the University of Michigan in 2017. During her undergraduate years, she worked with the Michigan Neurogenetics and Developmental Psychopathology Lab under Luke Hyde investigating neural correlates of adolescent antisocial behavior and neighborhood effects on neural reactivity. She also worked with the Trauma, Stress, and Anxiety Research Group under Israel Liberzon investigating the effect of sex hormones on animal models of stress. With the Stein group, Andi primarily works on the TBS treatment protocol for reducing cocaine use and is currently applying to MD/PhD programs. Her research interests include the use of multimodal neuroimaging techniques (e.g., simultaneous EEG/fMRI), pharmacoMRI, and behavioral measures to understand neurobiological mechanisms and identify neural risk factors of maladaptive behaviors (e.g., impulsivity, aggression, substance use) as well as developing effective treatments utilizing fMRI-based neurofeedback and noninvasive brain stimulation for psychiatric illnesses associated with these behaviors.
