Research Interests
Amy Kwarteng graduated from Yale University in 2019, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. As an undergraduate student, she worked in the Clinical Affective Neuroscience and Development Lab under Dr. Dylan Gee, who investigates early childhood adversity and subsequent risk for psychiatric disorders. Amy’s research interests include understanding the effects of genetics and environmental rearing on adolescent substance abuse and developing novel techniques to address substance abuse more broadly. In the TTRU, she assists with the production of a data analysis tool and works on a protocol that examines real-time evaluation of substance use and psychosocial stress. In the future, Amy plans to attend medical school and pursue a career in psychiatry.
