Research Interests
Alexandra Hicks received her B.S. degree in Neuroscience at William & Mary in 2020. She received her M.S. in Biological Chemistry at the University of Michigan in 2022. For her master’s thesis, she conducted research on the structure and biochemical function of the Legionella pneumophilia histone methyltransferase enzyme RomA/LegAS4 in the lab of Dr. Raymond Trievel. In the fall of 2022, Alexandra joined the Integrative Neurobiology section of the Molecular Targets and Medications Discovery Branch as an IRTA postbaccalaureate fellow. Her work focuses on Dopamine D4 receptor polymorphisms and its heteromers as targets for the treatment of RLS, ADHD, and SUD.
