Research Interests

Aishwarya graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2021 with a degree in Neurobiology and Physiology. During her undergraduate studies, she conducted research on quantitative diagnostic measures for attention-deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD) and Parkinson’s disease. Aishwarya joined the Aponte lab in 2021 as a postbaccalaureate fellow. Her research interests include investigating the neural basis and mechanisms of psychiatric disorders, addiction, and neurodegenerative disorders. Aishwarya plans to continue her passion for research by pursuing a PhD in neuroscience.
