Background
Brenna Swider received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Longwood University (Virginia) in 2008. Brenna has been with NIH for almost 12 years, joining the Laboratory of Clinical Infectious Diseases (LCID), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in 2011. In 2015 Brenna moved to the Medicinal Chemistry Section of the Molecular Targets and Medications Discovery Branch (MTMDB), National Institute on Drug Abuse. Here she has been able to utilize her work ethic, education, leadership skills, and experience to become a highly productive and valuable asset to both the MTMDB, Dr. Amy Newman & The Office of the Scientific Director.
