Research Interests
Dr. Michelle Jobes is a Clinical Research Specialist with the Office of the Clinical Director, NIDA IRP, where she has worked in different capacities since 2008. Her expertise lies in designing and managing clinical research, human subjects protections, and regulatory affairs. Her research interests include opioid use disorder treatments, relapse prevention, and the stigma and disparities in treatment availability, accessibility, and outcomes. During her postdoctoral fellowship at the NIDA IRP, she conducted treatment research, focusing on real-time mobile assessment of stress and the environment in the daily lives of people who used opioids regularly. Currently, Dr. Jobes provides support in the writing of new protocols, execution of ongoing clinical protocols, broad regulatory expertise, staff and participant education, and management of the NIDA Clinical Mentoring Program for trainees. She also supports outreach initiatives to expand our impact and prioritize the voices and experiences of our research participants.
