Background
After studying biology at Villanova University, Julia spent five years doing clinical neuroscience research at Penn State University prior to pursuing her doctoral degree. In 2014, Julia joined the Aponte Lab, where she used in vivo two-photon endomicroscopy as well as optogenetic and chemogenetic behavioral assays to study feeding behavior. Julia graduated from the Johns Hopkins University-NIH graduate partnership program in Winter 2018.
