Sarah Sarsfield, M.S.

Background

Sarah studied biology with a concentration in genetics and development at Penn State University. In 2000, she joined the lab of Dr. David Ginty in the Department of Neuroscience at Johns Hopkins University as a Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) research technician. Sarah was promoted to Laboratory Manager after proving that she could manage a lab full of unruly postdocs and graduate students and one unruly, but brilliant, PI. In 2006, she received a Masters of Science in biotechnology with a concentration in bioinformatics from Johns Hopkins University. Sarah left the Ginty lab and HHMI in 2013 to join the Aponte lab in which she is helping to build and manage the laboratory of another unruly, but brilliant, PI.
