Research Interests

Ms. Stacy Shimer, MSN, RN, CARN joins the NIDA IRP as a Clinical Research Nurse in the Office of the Clinical Director (OCD). Ms. Shimer possesses extensive professional experience and academic training in the care and management of the addiction patient population with over 16 years of service in the private and federal healthcare system. Stacy comes to NIDA from the Department of Veterans Affairs, Baltimore having worked as the charge nurse in the Addiction Treatment and Detox outpatient clinic with a Master of Science in Nursing Education and a Certified Addictions Registered Nurse.
