Research Interests
Anurag Paul received his B.S. in Neuroscience and B.A. in Liberal Arts from the University of Cincinnati in 2021. As an undergraduate student, he investigated the effects of serum starvation on the expression of genes that regulate autophagy in kidney cancer. Additionally, Anurag conducted literature reviews to examine resilience in children. He joined the Integrative Neurobiology section of the Molecular Targets and Medications Discovery Branch in the summer of 2022 as a Postbaccalaureate IRTA Fellow. Anurag’s work involves utilizing the bioluminescence resonance energy transfer technique in transfected mammalian cells to target galanin receptors for treating opioid use disorder.
