Alyssa Howell, B.S.

Research Interests

Alyssa Howell joined Translational Analytical Core (TAC) in July of 2026. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Goucher College, where she conducted undergraduate research under Professor Kevin Schultz. Her work focused on manipulating photochromic drug‑delivery compounds to optimize drug attachment and light‑reactive efficiency. In her senior thesis, she examined how structural differences among compounds affect stability, reactivity, and the locking/unlocking mechanisms relevant to downstream reactions.

As a post-bacc fellow under TAC, Alyssa will be processing specimen samples for multiple branches, maintaining up-to-date knowledge on each study’s requirements, and develop experimental protocols.
